Getting there

The Zillertal is the biggest valley branching off the Inn valley in Tyrol, West-Austria drained by the river Ziller. Unlike other side valleys of the Inntal, the Zillertal rises constantly, but only marginally, from Strass (522 m) to Mayrhofen (628 m) - only about 100 m over 30 km. This fact guarantees an easy arrival also in winter season.

  Getting there by train
Take the express train to Jenbach/Tyrol. From there, continue on the Zillertal mountain railway to your destination (final station Mayrhofen) and then by scheduled bus to Gerlos, Finkenberg or Tux.

   Getting there by plain

The airports Innsbruck (50 km), Munich (170km) Salzburg (150 km) are in direct surroundings of Zillertal and are connected through daily scheduled flights to whole Europe. Find your best flight to Zillertal:

   Getting there by car


East/West/North: Take the A12 Inntalautobahn (Inn Valley Motorway),  Exit "Zillertal", Federal Highway B 169 or drive toll-free over Achensee.

South: A10 Tauernmotorway until Salzburg then continue on A12 Inntalautobahn, Exit "Zillertal"
