Welcome to Zillertal
Surrounded by 68 three-thousand metre peaks and by the wonderful mountains of the Tuxer Voralpen, the Tux main chain and the Zillertal Alps, Zillertal offers unique views.
Situated in the Austrian province of Tyrol, Zillertal branches off the Inn Valley about 40 km to the east of Innsbruck. It is the widest southern side valley of the Inn Valley and extends from Strass in Zillertal to Mayrhofen, where it divides into four side valleys: Zillergrund, Zemmgrund, Stillupptal and Tuxer Tal. Gerlostal branches off Zillertal towards the east at Zell am Ziller.
Zillertal is 32 kilometres long, and ranges in elevation between 500 m and 3,509m above sea level.
