Tux and Finkenberg are on a completely different level – right in the middle of the Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000 at incredible altitudes of up to 3,250 metres above sea level. A snow-sure winter wonderland in the midst of stunning natural surroundings.

The area consists of a total of 227 km of pistes spread over four ski regions: Eggalm, Rastkogel, Penken and the Hintertuxer Glacier – Austria’s most attractive and ONLY all year round ski region –with guaranteed powder snow from October right through until May. The ascent alone with the Gletscherbus lifts is an experience in itself! Take in the Panorama Terrace, Snowpark, Tuxer Fernhaus and the Sommerbergalm at breathtaking altitudes, or try the 12 km long snow-sure downhill run into the valley. Glacier Tour If you stick to the recommended route, an amazing 15,000 metres in altitude difference and 72km of the most diverse runs ranging between 630m and 3,250m above sea level, can be achieved in just one day.

New in Winter 2008/2009

• NEW: The Gletcherbus 1 lifts (double cable) from Hintertux at 1500 metres above sea level to the Sommerbergalm (2100m) have been erected as a replacement to the 4 seater (single cable) Sommerberg lifts.
• Extended snow making facilities in the area around the Tuxer Fernhauses.
