The days are getting shorter and winter is setting in at 3,250 metres. The nights get colder and the conditions on the mountain improve from day to day. Come along in autumn and experience the snowiest ski area in Austria. Nowhere else is skiing as varied and enjoyable as in the Tyrolean Zillertal: the Hintertux Glacier offers fun on the snow and slopes, great food and fascinating nature experiences at up to 3,250 metres above sea level!
The ski season simply starts earlier on the Hintertux Glacier at 3,250 metres above sea level. Especially in early autumn, the Hintertux Glacier already offers skiing fun and breathtaking views over snow-covered peaks and green valleys thanks to its altitude.
Snow guarantee in the Zillertal
Thanks to its altitude of up to 3,250 metres above sea level and the associated optimal slope and snow conditions, skiing in the Zillertal is possible well into April. More than 80% of the Zillertal slopes are located above 1,700 metres above sea level, which is why the region is one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Austria. The four large ski areas in the Zillertal, Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch, the Zillertal Arena, the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen adventure world - Mountopolis and the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 with the Hintertux Glacier, offer winter sports fun well into spring. Together, the ski resorts offer 548 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes and 180 state-of-the-art lifts – all of which can be used with a single ski ticket, the Zillertal Super Ski Pass.
