DAY 1: Fügen - Zell am Ziller

The 1st stage of the Zillertal Bike Challenge starts in Fügen and leads to the valley station of the Geolsbahn lift which takes you to the summit station. The course continues via the Onkeljoch and the Gartalm to Hochfügen and then descends into the valley via the Kupfnerberg toboggan run and through the town centres of Kaltenbach and Stumm where it continues uphill via the Stummerberg. Just before the Tannenalm, the route descends via the little town of Stummerberg to Stumm and continues along the Zillertal cycle track via Aschau to the finish in Zell am Ziller.

DAY 2: Zell am Ziller - Mayrhofen

The Lords/Ladies route starts at the Freizeitpark Zell and continues with a ride in the Rosenalm lift to the middle station. The course then follows the Kings and Queens route before taking the Schmankerlweg to the Kreuzwiesenalm. This marks the start of a fast downhill run via the Enzianhof following parts of the single trail to the Freizeitpark Zell and then continuing beside the Ziller River to the finish in Mayrhofen. NB: Particular caution is called for on the single trail and the downhill runs.

DAY 3: Mayrhofen - Hintertux

The Lords/Ladies route leaves from the Europahaus and continues with a ride in the Penkenbahn lift to the summit station. The course goes on via the Penkenjoch to the Wanglalm. A gravel trail then snakes its way to Vorderlanersbach where the route joins the highway L6 (Tuxerlandesstraße). The route continues through the towns of Lanersbach, Juns and Madseit to the valley station of the Hintertuxer Gletscherbahn – Gletscherbus 1 in Hintertux. This allows the Lords/Ladies riders to get their breath back before mobilising their last resources for the climb to the Tuxer-Ferner-Haus at an altitude of 2,660 m.
