Three permanent exhibitions form the Nature Park’s exhibition series for the environmental education area: “Glacier Worlds” at the Nature Park House in Ginzling, “Cultural Landscape Worlds” at the Mitterstall in Brandberg and “Steinbock Worlds” at Zillergrund.

Glacier Worlds - Nature Park House

The core of the Nature Park is located in the mountaineering village Ginzling, featuring a modern visitor’s centre with an interactive exhibition that is family-oriented and anything but run of the mill. Without sterile showcases, without boring information panels and without “please do not touch” signs, visitors will be positively encouraged to grasp the exhibits at numerous interactive, multimedia stations with all the senses. Join in an adventurous search for an expedition in the Zillertal Alps that went missing years ago! Walk into the Nature Park House and marvel at what the Zillertal also has to offer in cultural terms!

Steinbock Worlds - Zillergrund

A group of Alpine ibexes (Steinböcke) are currently living in the wild. This is a very rare sight for visitors in the High Mountain Nature Park.

This is why an existing building (together with storage room for feed and stable) was adapted last year as a “Steinbock information point”. This not only enables visitors to be able to observe these rare alpine animals from there, but also to learn more about their biology as well as their importance in terms of ecology and cultural history in the Steinbock Worlds exhibition. A rare and unforgettable nature experience for big and small children!

Cultural Landscape Worlds - Mitterstall Brandberg

One of the mountain farming cultural monuments in the Nature Park region is the Mitterstall, a former stable & feed building used for agricultural purposes that is located directly at the Brandberg village entrance. The Nature Park exhibition “Brandberg – our cultural landscape in change” is located at Mitterstall. Allow yourself to be taken away into the world of alpine farming with all its difficult conditions on characteristic mountain meadows and alpine pastures!
