Cross-Country Skiing

Get sporty while enjoying the great outdoors – cross-country skiing clears the head and challenges the whole body. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can explore Zillertal on a tour of the over 125-kilometres of cross-country skiing trails with several difficulty levels for skating and classic skiing.

Good to know!

The difficulty classes have been determined using the Tirol cross-country skiing stamp:

Easy trail (blue): largely level cross-country skiing trail with ascent and descent sections with a maximum longitudinal gradient of 10% (with the exception of short off-piste sections). On cross-country skiing trails for classic cross-country skiing, the descent sections must have a manageable total length and no corners that force the skiers to actively change direction.

Moderate trail (red): cross-country skiing trail in largely undulating terrain with ascent and descent sections with a maximum longitudinal gradient of 20% (with the exception of short back-country sections). On cross-country skiing trails for classic cross-country skiing, the descent sections may include bends that force the skiers to actively change direction.

Hard trail (black): cross-country skiing trail with a longitudinal gradient that exceeds the maximum gradient for moderate trails.
