Here everyone can enjoy the white splendour to the fullest while gliding down into the valley in the “skiing footsteps” of Olympic champion Stephan Eberharter, a world famous “son” of the region.



Ski, have fun and enjoy ultimate fun on the slopes

The Spieljoch skiing area is the first skiing area in the Zillertal, and thanks to the longest snow-covered valley run in the entire Zillertal it offers fantastic days of skiing in your winter holiday with the whole family! NEW: From winter 2016/17 there will be a permanent ski bus connection form Spieljoch in Fügen to the neighbouring skiing area Hochzillertal in Kaltenbach. Furthermore there will be made an investment in the snow machines and snow grooming in Spieljoch skiing area this winter. From 20th March 2017 starts the reconstruction of the cable cars Spieljoch I + II, Onkeljochbahn and of the restaurant.

Ski area highlights


An ultra-modern cabin from LEITNER ropeways ensures a relaxed mountain ascent. The interior comes from BMW Individual – comprising of leather seats with an integrated massage function and a multimedia system from the BMW 7 limousine series. In combination with exceptional dining opportunities at the Hochzillertal Ski Resort. That is probably the most exclusive way to experience the winter wonderlands of the Alps.

HOCHFÜGEN: Hot spot for off-piste skiers

From easy lines for freeriding beginners through to more demanding terrain and even sheer rock faces - the face of Freeride World Qualifier Big Mountain Hochfügen -  Hochfügen is the powder paradise for off-piste fans. There are also numerous courses and freeriding events.

HOCHFÜGEN: Even more fun on the slopes with the new FunLine Hochfügen

FunLine Hochfügen is located below the new 6-seater Waidoffen chair lift and is a mixture of slopes, a cross course and a snow park. The varied course includes steep curves, rollers, hills and crazy snow lines. It is suitable for all ages and ability levels and is great fun for all the family.

SPIELJOCH: the new 8 EUB Geols Panoramabahn

The new “8 EUB Geols Panoramabahn” at Spieljoch was opened in winter season 2015/16. Starting from the top station, a 3 km long moderately difficult ski run leads past the Geolsalm and continues further towards the bottom station on the Hochfügenerstraße. The entire slope is covered with snow and numerous downhill variations are now available in the area of the Geolsalm. The connection to the neighbouring skiing area Hochzillertal/Hochfügen is enabled with a ski bus shuttle.
