Climbing Hall Zillertal

Over 1300m² of climbing and boulderarea awaits you in the rebuild climbing hall in Aschau in Zillertal. With 5 belay constructions and a 300m² big boulder- area leaves nothing to be desired. Every climber will find a route which suits him or her, no matter if beginner or profi! After climbing, a bar invites you to have a drink and relax. The climbing hall is open daily and also offers climbing courses.

New 10-seater Spieljoch cable car - Ride in comfort to a new mountain adventure

The new 10-seater Spieljoch cable car takes you quickly up the mountain, straight to Zillertal’s longest snow-covered valley run! As well as beautiful pistes for all skill levels, you‘ll find a new fun slope providing fun for the whole family, and a cool fun park for all daredevils, action lovers and adrenalin junkies. This winter mountain experience is completed by a 5.5km-long natural toboggan run that leads to the middle station, and a wonderful winter hiking trail to the cross at the summit of Spieljoch, with its amazing panorama. One mountain becomes an adventure for the entire family!

CAT Skiing - Take the piste-basher to the perfect freeride slope

Your "first line" dream can come true in Hochfügen with the latest Hochfügen Special, the so called „CAT Skiing“. In the early hours of the morning the snowcat equipped with a 6-seater chair with protective hood  takes you up to the summit. After a short guided trek led by a qualified guide, there’s now nothing to stop you enjoying the long awaited "first line" experience in the fresh powder snow.

Newly cononstructed Dorfbahn cable car in Gerlos & Zillertal Arena’s new service package

The newly constructed Dorfbahn cable car in Gerlos is offering a special, stress-free service package. After a hearty breakfast, winter sports enthusiasts can simply step off the car – the new station is within walking distance – and begin their ski day feeling totally relaxed. The lift takes you from the village centre right into the ski region in just eight minutes.

Become Arena Champion

Once you have reached the mountain, even more skiing excitement awaits – it’s your chance to become the Arena Champion! Complete six of the 12 sections in the Arena Champions challenge (five SkiMovie runs, four speed-check runs and four photo points), which are spread out across the ski region, and you’ll receive the Arena Champions book – a photo album with great memories to take home!

Racing fun on Mount Horberg

At Piste 15 on Mount Horberg, permanent slalom and giant slalom courses, including timers, are being built for current and future racers.

Fun Ride Gerent & Penken Fun Ride
All those who are hungry for action can go crazy on the new Fun Ride Gerent. In addition to the popular Penken Fun Ride, which is being expanded with new park elements, Action Mount Penken now has even more fun and variety for both the young and the young-atheart.

New winter hiking trail
The hiking trail on Mount Penken has been expanded- you can now enjoy the winter wonderland on foot by walking from the top station of the „Kombibahn“ to the „Granatkapelle“.

Penken Panorama Ice Rink

Covering an area of 200m², the new ice rink on the huge panorama terrace at the Penkenbahn Summit Station offers a truly unique experience for young and old. The incredible views will make even the most hardcore skiers trade their skis in for a pair of skates.

Opening times: 16 December 2017 to 04 March 2018, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (depending on the ice conditions and the temperature)

More pleasure on Mount Ahorn

On Leisure Mount Ahorn, the winter hiking trail has been expanded, you can walk to the viewing platforms. They are now also open in winter, provide an amazing vista of the valley and the surrounding mountain world. What is more, the new „Pistenbock“ a new tobbogan run is a guarantee for kids as well as adults.

Mayrhofner Mountain App - The latest information

The new app for the ski region offers a number of useful features. One special highlight is the integrated ski navigation system, which skiers can use to calculate their ideal route based on their individual desires.

New 10-seater mono-cable gondola Finkenberg I

The Finkenberg I is a new, stateof- the-art, 10-seater, mono-cable gondola adding a touch of glamour to the first of two sections of the Finkenberger Almbahnen. This latest generation of cable car, which has been introduced just in time for the start of the season, replaces the four-seater gondola lift built in 1987. The new one is not only comfortable and fast, but also offers a breathtaking panorama, which you can – thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi – immediately share with friends and family at home, using the hashtag #zillertal.

Pepis Kinderland - Fun for the whole family

Upon arrival on the mountain, children can practise their skiing skills playfully and with professional supervision at Pepi’s Kinderland at Penkenjoch. Lots of fun with Pepi, the giant teddy bear, and countless indoor highlights await the little skiers. Meanwhile, parents can relax and enjoy the culinary treats of the Granatalm ski hut.

Kidsslope Hintertux - A new kids-fun from Glacier Flea Luis

Glacier Flea Luis invites the youngest skiers and boarders to a discovery tour offside the normal slopes in the new Kidsslope Hintertux. The new attraction is located in the easy and flat beginner's area in the winter ski area Sommerbergalm. Directly after the entrance into the course you will find the first highlights: Two large tunnels made of snow, separated by a steep curve, are to be passed through. For the following wave path the kids need to use their sense of balance. Finally two oversized hands are waiting for a high five after each successful passage. Before leaving the Kidsslope Hintertux and returning to the normal slope, a speaking Luis is saying Goodbye.  And if you want to go on the next ride, the Ramsmoos t-bar-lift will bring you back easily to the entrance.
