The most advanced cable car in the world – the 3S Penkenbahn

The Penkenbahn combines fantastic smoothness and generous seats with the incomparable view over the exquisite panorama of the Zillertal High Alps around Mayrhofen. The 33 comfortable gondolas, equipped with WLAN, offer seats for 24 people and can transport up to 2,880 people per hour into the ski region – waiting times are no longer an issue, even on the descent. With a heavy flow of guests on an evening, 8 additional standing places can be offered per gondola. As a result, a transportation capacity of 3,840 people per hour guarantees a rapid and pleasant return to the valley.

The longest valley descent in Austria offers pure piste enjoyment with a descent of 1,930 metres – and this can be skied all in one go! The Zell am Ziller valley descent piste has the greatest height difference in Austria and lives up to its name as the HöhenFresser tour, which means “altitude devourer” in German.

The steepest piste experience in Austria – "Harakiri"

Sporty skiers and snowboarders can prove their endurance on this demanding ski piste on the "action mountain" Penken in Mayrhofen. The steep slope has a formidable average gradient of 78 percent – even experienced skiers will reach their limits here. Less experienced skiers can relax and get an overview of the downhill attempts of the brave from the chairlift which runs directly alongside. The Harakiri piste can only be prepared with cable winches and a special piste device.

Austria’s largest aerial tramway – "Ahornbahn"

The 2 large, fully glazed gondolas of the Ahornbahn are simply gigantic. In just six and a half minutes, they can bring up to 160 people to the top of the "leisure mountain" Ahorn. Up to 1200 people per hour can be transported, making waiting times a thing of the past.

The world’s first 10-seater mono-cable detachable gondola system from Doppelmayr with heated seats replaces the Gefrorene Wand 3a double chair lift.
