Snowreporter Jolanda
Hello lovelies! I'm reporting back for the last time this season with a detailed snow report.
This time, I'm heading to the Zillertal Arena ski resort, where spring is in full swing. The days are getting longer, the sun is higher in the sky, and there's a special excitement in the air that only sunny skiing can bring. It's time for breakfast on sun terraces, Good Morning Skiing – and, of course, for a really good party atmosphere on the mountain and in the valley.
The Zillertal Arena is the largest contiguous ski area in the Zillertal and extends from Zell am Ziller via Gerlos and Königsleiten to Hochkrimml. So if you really want to explore the entire ski area, it's worth setting off early. The Hochkrimml, Königsleiten and Isskogel in Gerlos regions in particular offer perfect sunny slopes in spring, with the best conditions in the morning. So: get up early and don't forget the sun cream ;-)
Fantastic slopes, a relaxed atmosphere and spectacular panoramas await you along the way.
My tip for spring: in the morning head for the sunny side (Hochkrimml, Königsleiten & Gerlos) and later switch to the north-western side (Zell am Ziller). Here the snow stays good into the afternoon because the sun doesn't hit the slopes directly all day – which is good for the quality of the slopes.
What makes spring special for me in the Zillertal Arena: Après-ski is twice as much fun. The atmosphere is relaxed, the sun is shining, and you can be dancing in sunglasses and a floaty outfit as early as mid-afternoon.
There are après-ski spots everywhere – whether on the sun terraces of the mountain restaurants or down in the valley: from Zell to Hochkrimml, there is something for everyone. You can find all the après-ski hotspots here at a glance.
There is also a lot going on in the Zillertal Arena in terms of events:
Tip: anyone who is on the slopes on Saturday 12 April in a dirndl or lederhosen will even get the day ski pass for just 35 euros. More information can be found here.
Tip: The same applies here as for the Lederhosen Wedeltage: if you are wearing a matching outfit on 4 or 5 April, you only pay 35 euros for the day ski pass. For me: the perfect spring package of the most iconic 90s hits, skiing fun and festival feeling! You can find all further information here.
Whether you are out and about on the sunny slopes early in the morning, relaxing with music or enjoying one of the event highlights, the Zillertal Arena in spring is an all-round experience. There is always something to do.
With that in mind, I would like to thank all of you who have been following me and my Snow Reporter adventures so closely! I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
I wish you a wonderful summer season. And maybe we will see each other again soon? ;-)
See you soon,
Jolanda
