Coconut Snowmen


200 g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
200 g flour
1 pinch of salt
200 g butter at at room
4 eggs
120 g curd cheese
200 g icing sugar
Desiccated coconut
Decoration: small chocolate
drops, coloured writing icing,
fruit jelly
Food adhesive




Mix the sugar, baking powder, flour and salt, stir into the butter    
and gradually beat in the eggs.

Pour the dough into a loaf tin, bake at 200°C top and bottom    
heat (180°C fan air) for approx. 40 minutes and leave to cool.

Crumble the cake.

Mix the curd cheese and icing sugar until smooth.
Knead the cake crumbs and curd into a sticky mass.  
If necessary, add a bit more curd cheese if the dough is not  
smooth enough.

Form the dough into approx. 20 balls of different sizes, roll     
in the desiccated coconut and insert a toothpick through  
the centre of the larger ones. Place smaller balls on top and  
refrigerate the snowmen until you are ready to decorate them.

Place them lying on desiccated coconut, decorate them one at a 
time and store them in the fridge until ready to eat.
