Palm pretzel


Ingredients for approx. 20 pretzels:

300 g wheat flour (type 480)
50 g sugar
75 g butter
180 ml lukewarm milk
1 egg
1 half packet of dry yeast

 

Preparation:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a pot and knead them into a dough.

  2. This can be done by hand or with a kneading machine.

  3. Then form fist-sized balls, roll the balls into sausages and shape them into pretzels.

  4. Now all you have to do is spread the individual pretzels on a baking tray with a little milk and bake them in the oven at 180 °C for about a quarter of an hour - until they are just golden brown.

  5. Allow to cool and you are ready to tie them onto the palm bouquet or palm tree!
