Zillertal cheese brooms


Ingredients for 4 people:

100 g of your favourite Zillertal cheese writing

10 salt sticks

10 chive stalks

 

Preparation:

  1. For cheese brooms, first prepare the "cheese bristles". Cut the cheese slices in half lengthwise.
  2. Cut the strips along one of the long sides with scissors at short intervals, but never cut all the way through.
  3. Wrap the "bristly" cheese strips around the pretzel sticks with the non-cut side facing up.
  4. Tie the stalks of chives around the brooms to hold them in place.
